Ingredients
  • package of mild italian chicken sausage
  • 20oz 93% ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 28oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 12oz tomato paste
  • 13oz tomato sauce
  • 1/2 chicken stock or red wine
  • 2 tsp dried basil leaves
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 tbsp dried parsely
  • 16oz ricotta cheese
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 package oven ready lasagna noodles
  • 32 oz mozarella cheese

Instructions:
  • In large pasta pot sauce ground turkey and sausage (remove from casing)
  • Season with salt/pepper
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and chicken stock/wine
  • Add basil, Italian seasoning and 3 tbsp parsley
  • Cover and simmer for 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally
  • In a bowl, mix together ricotta cheese and egg, and 1 tbsp parsley
  • Get a 9x13 dish, put one layer of noodles down
  • Preheat oven to 375F
  • Assemble: meat sauce, mozzarella cheese, noodles, ricotta & repeat
  • Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese, cover with foil
  • Bake for 25 minutes, remove foil, bake for another 25 minutes
