Ingredients
- package of mild italian chicken sausage
- 20oz 93% ground turkey
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 28oz can crushed tomatoes
- 12oz tomato paste
- 13oz tomato sauce
- 1/2 chicken stock or red wine
- 2 tsp dried basil leaves
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 4 tbsp dried parsely
- 16oz ricotta cheese
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 package oven ready lasagna noodles
- 32 oz mozarella cheese
Instructions:
- In large pasta pot sauce ground turkey and sausage (remove from casing)
- Season with salt/pepper
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and chicken stock/wine
- Add basil, Italian seasoning and 3 tbsp parsley
- Cover and simmer for 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally
- In a bowl, mix together ricotta cheese and egg, and 1 tbsp parsley
- Get a 9x13 dish, put one layer of noodles down
- Preheat oven to 375F
- Assemble: meat sauce, mozzarella cheese, noodles, ricotta & repeat
- Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese, cover with foil
- Bake for 25 minutes, remove foil, bake for another 25 minutes
